Stropharia Rugoso season! Guess I know what I'm having for breakfast!
The first Stropharia Rugoso of the season and plenty of sage. I know what I'm having for dinner. Thunderstorms should bring more this week.
Chive blossoms are in full swing.
Asparagus, chives, and oyster mushrooms, not a bad breakfast. At least I finally get some asparagus!
First harvest of blue oyster, about nine ounces. Home grown in my garage.
Homemade Bloody Mary mix. Sure why not. What else to do. Actually tastes Pretty good after sitting about a week on the fridge.
Welp, the deer decided to eat the asparagus. All that is left is little nubbs. I'm still going to eat it. I've been waiting years for this harvest.
Getting closer to harvest time!
Asparagus and sage coming in slowly. Two of my favorite things. Still very early spring here, freezing temps and very frosty out this morning.
The second mycelial sawdust experiment. Blue oyster, a strong fast grower, taking over, and hopefully eventually producing food. Looks like an alien landscape.
Sawdust from a woodworking friend. Soon to become Stropharia Rugoso spawn if my experiment goes according to plan. Science while on lockdown!
Never a better time to learn to identify wild plants. Mullien, sometimes called, Native TP, strong, soft, non-toxic.
